The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) is a state-wide planning and information law that requires local cooperation but this is nothing new to the Sacramento Valley. Our North State special districts, counties and cities have been collaborating and cooperating for decades. Sustainable and responsible management of our surface and groundwater supplies is the ongoing mission we have all been committed to for many, many years.

Butte County Water Resource and Conservation website contains numerous planning, groundwater monitoring and condition reports in addition to project documents ie. Interbasin Groundwater Flow Report and Lower Tuscan Investigation, these documents are available to download and demonstrate the on-going cooperation of water districts and municipalities in Butte County and surrounding counties.
